You can decide how many backups to keep. For most small businesses we suggest

1. keep at least one year-end backup file each year (in case you need to reprint paystubs or W2 for employees).

2. For current year, you can keep one backup for each quarter or just keep the recent backups.

3. Please keep your backup files on the USB, cloud or other storage devices. In case your current computer is crashed, you can restore data from other device easily.

Is it necessary to keep all the old backup files? I see that it creates
one every week. I have some that are 3 and 4 years old.
