ezW2 is designed to file W2 and W3 forms. We added the 1099 form feature for employers who also need to issue 1099 forms to contractors.
Beginning with tax year 2020, employers need to file the new Form 1099-NEC to report the nonemployee compensation. ezW2 2020 and later supports form W2 and 1099-nec. ezW2 no longer supports form 1099-MISC.
You can file the Form 1099-misc with our ez1099 software. ez1099 2020 can retrieve 1099-misc form data from ezW2 2019 with a few clicks.
