I have filled out the ACA sample files provided for the California 1095C State Mandate with our data. When I go to import the files I open the employee file first, do all the mapping and then on Step 4 I try to Test parse data. It runs for a minute and then I get this error, "index or primary key cannot be null" The sample files do not provide a column for an index or primary key and I am not sure how to get past this error.

Has anyone run into this issue? How did you solve it?

Thank you,
Casey

Usually such issue was caused by file format. (For example: your file has non-data lines to display the report title, report date...)

Solution:

Step 1:
- Review your data file. If you see non-data line or blank line, please remove them.
- Then import data again.

If you still see this issue, move to step 2.

Step 2:

2.1 Please test with our sample data file (Please follow the step 2 in this guide).

ez1095 software: data import (with sample data files)

2.2 If there is no error with the test data, you can add some rows of your data to the .csv file and test import function again.

2.3 Repeat step 2.2 until you find the bad data.
