I need to file 1099 misc forms. If I purchase ezW2 software, do I still need to purchase the preprinted forms?

If you will mail the paper forms back to IRS, you will need the red forms for IRS copy A and 1096. IRS does not certify substitute forms right now. However, you can print all recipient copies on white paper with our ez1099 software  or ezW2 software .

If you will file the 1099 forms electronically, no red forms are needed.
