Hello,

Today I downloaded the latest version of EZPaycheck. I would like to check the state deductions for Colorado.

I have an employee who makes $580/wk and filing as Weekly Payroll - Single with two (2) deductions.

Before the update the program withheld $21/ check

After the update the program withheld $15.00

According the Colorado Income Tax withholding tables, for the wage range $575 - $600, Single with 2 allowances, the withholding should be $18.

I am concerned that the new withholding amount of $15 is too low. Could you please review your data tables?

Thank you,

Cynthia

Thank you for using ezPaycheck payroll software. When we added your employee in our system, we see state tax as $18.

1) Do you have any pre-tax deduction for this employee to lower the taxable income? ie: pretax 401K, insurance, donation or others? For testing purpose, just change the all the deductions to zero ("0") when you add a new check, will you see $18 for state tax?

2) If yes, you can follow this guide to check your deduction setup

If you check the option "Exempt from federal and state tax", you may see lower fed and state taxes on your paycheck.
